Dear SAP Experts,
When a Problem is resolved, i.e. root cause determined, solution provided and status set to 'Confirmed', can the related Incidents [i.e. locked to the Problem] be automatically confirmed also ? Same is showed in SAP Standard slides but i am struggling to find the place as how this can be achieved. Please advice.
Thanks.
SM
Hi Suchit,
How are you?
have you checked this,
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_sm71_sp01/helpdata/en/76/1815e805b549158589a28645a20d89/content.htm
But here also it clearly saying, there is no check of automatic dependcy. (On caution)
Can you share the SAP slides where it saying about auto status change.
also refer the same discussion few days before http://scn.sap.com/thread/3175151
Thanks,
Jansi

Check out and update.

In problem action profile you can find a standard action definition "SMPR_UPDATE_INCIDENT" (Update Dependent Incicidents)
If you used standard start condition (Start Condition System Status = Solution Delivered, Resolved)
system triggers this action
This action unlocking related incidents, moving they to "Proposed solution" status, attaching SAP Nots, documents, and KAs from this Problem. Also it should copying the "Solution" texts but in my it does't copy it....
Hi, Dmitry. When i try launch the action SMPR_UPDATE_INCIDENT manually, the system status of Action = Error. "The system can't perform the action". How do you think why? And why is possible to execute this action if status "Confirmed". I suggest that system can process if status = Proposed Solution, User Action or Confirmed.
Hi all,
I am also looking for the exact solution (Problem Management should update its related incidents.. but thats not the case for even for standard SAP scenario).
Hope someone can share how this is done.
This is the default for SMPR_UPDATE_INCIDENT/ ZMPR_UPDATE_INCIDENT:-
&CRM Master request.StatusTable& CE I1383
or
&CRM Master request.System Status& = I1005
or
&CRM Master request.System Status& = I1008
Can someone explain the above ?
By right it should be the below right ?
&CRM Service Request.User Status& E0029++++++++ or
&CRM Service Request.User Status& E0005++++++++
Thanks in advance
Shahul
