SAP NetWeaver 7.02 SP11 64 bit with Gateway Developer Key

Hello:

I downloaded and installed the new "SAP NetWeaver 7.02 SP11 64 bit with Gateway 2.0 SP03", install went fine but I am having trouble creating/changing the developer (access) key for user BCUSER.

I have tried the two provided keys ( 07222097363139263004, 29671482393151224771) with no luck.  Table DEVACCESS has an entry for user BCUSER  -  07222097363139263004 (provided).

Any thoughts or ideas?

Dear Russ,

in the Gateway Developer Editions the User is not BCUSER. The User is called DEVELOPER for which then the developer key mentioned in the Installation Guide should work.

I tried your suggestion, with no luck though.  Just so I am clear..

I looged on as DDIC, went to transaction SU01, created user DEVELOPER, assigned role SAP_ALL, initial password etc.  Logged out, then logged in as DEVELOPER, went to SE38, tried to create a program, was prompted for "KEY" tried both 07222097363139263004 and 29671482393151224771 and was told they were incorrect entries.

One thing I have noticed thoug is that my installation number is 'SAP-INTERN' as opposed to 'DEMOSYSTEM' that I am used to seeing with the 'trial versions'.

Have you downloaded your Developer Edition from http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/gateway?rid=/webcontent/uuid/90b292cc-a2d7-2e10-709d-9fba966a6937 ? If no I would think that you've got a copy for SAP internal use. Are you using the Windows or Linux Edition?

because I had tried a few days ago to pick it up from

but I had problems with the first file see:

I just tried to pick up part 1 again, and it seems to be working 😉

Maybe I re-image one of my laptops with Server 2008 and go that route.

Hi Gregor, Hi Russ,

the fast solution is to use the developer key 14421119653247674476 for user BCUSER and leave the installation number as SAP-INTERN or you change the installation number by installing a new trial license.

We will update the download page. The new download you used we have to refer as a third installation option.

Thanks, Andre, for providing a developer key that works.

However, the download still has not been fixed, i.e. the installation number is still SAP-INTERN and not DEMOSYSTEM, so I won't be able to install a license key.

Well, but I am happy to install the system every three months 😉
