how can manage converting halb mat. to fert mat. after production

Hi Gurus,

I need a solution for below scenerio

HALB mat.is produced and then painted (let's say waterswitch) then it becomes FERT but how can I implement this in system ?what is the best way?

Hi,

     The best way to convert HALB to FERT by using production order rather than material to material stock transfer.

Create material master for FERT(Procurement type = In-house) and BOM for the same.

follow the standard procedure for the production ie. convertion of planned order to production order, confirmation and Goods receipt of the material.

By this way you can also include the paint cost for the material.

Do you have PP module in SAP?

Yes we have PP modul

Then Map it with it, Make Prod. Order for FERT Material which BOM may consists of the HALB + the Paint Material
