Purchase Account for Purchase order with Account Assignment

HI,

Is it possible to post entry to purchase account for a material which is procured for projects with account assignment category - P?,

If possible what are all configuration to be taken up?

Hi,

Answer is NO.But

just activate Purchase Account for your company code in following path

SPRO > Materials Management > Valuation and Account Assignment > Account Determination > Account Determination Without Wizard > Purchase Account Management > Activate Purchase Account in Company Code

And  have a test cycle for both and check accounting entries for following, you will find difference!

1. Do cretae PO for inventory manage material and then do GR,accounting entries

2. Do cretae PO for consmption material and then do GR,accounting entries

This is quite obvious & SAP Standard

Hi Tej,

Its not procured for stock and its account assignment category is P and not Q, so no inventory is maitained, its procured directly for consumption.entry for KBS and WRX is posted.

So please clarify on whether still purchase account can be maintained?

Purchase account is activated at Company Code level, So it will be applicable to all materials & not only Project Materials.
