Catalog SRM and Material Master MM

Hi,

i create a catalog in SRM with material and i want create all documents(Purchasing requisition, purchase order, etc) in MM. So, i ask you, if i must create also in MM all Material Master or i can take material from catalog SRM to create the documents.
