NW Upgrade Missing libicuuc40.a, libicudata40.a, libicui18n40.a Unicode library files

Where can we find these libicuuc40.a, libicudata40.a, and libicui18n40 library files?

We are getting tp connection errors on the PREP_GENCHECKS/NSTACT_CHK! phase in an upgrade from NW 7.0 to NW 7.3.The TP.ECO file is showing that the tp program is looking for the libicuuc40.a, libicudata40.a, and the libicui18n40.a Unicode library files, but they are not deploy as part of the kernel extracted for the upgrade.

In fact,the SAPEXE.CAR file contains the libicuuc34.a, libicudata34.a, and the libicui18n34.a unicode libraries instead.

Do we have to download a different version of the kernel? Do we have to download these libraries?  Please direct as about how to proceed.

The upgarde is over one Rs6000 , using AIX 64, v5.3 adn under db2 9.7.4

Following is the trail of the TP.ECO file:

Ok,

The answer came from OSS - SAP.

You have to manually replace (on the installation / upgrade directory)  the kernel that comes in the NW 7.30 Installation / Upgrade for the latest one available on OSS. The lates one is base on  libicuuc34.a, libicudata34.a, and libicui18N34.a instead. After the kernel was replaced, the phase PREP_GENCHECKS/NSTACT_CHK will execute. The upgrade upgrade is fibnished and BW BI 7.36 base on NW 7.30 is running over AIX 5.3 at CoV.

Any way, we had plans to upgrade AIX in the future on this system.

Can you please let me know the Kernel release and the patch level you have downloaded .

Also AIX 5.3 is not supported for NW 7.3 as per the PAM.

Please raise an OSS message to get a confirmation from SAP if AIX 5.3 is supported.

Also I suggest you go with 720 kernel with latest patch level (not 720 EXT).
