Error 2753 when installing CR for VS 2010

Hi

I'm trying to install Crystal for VS 2010 on a Windows 7 machine.  I've read the previous posts and tried all of the possible workarounds, with no luck.  Still getting the error.  Is there any new information on resolving this problem?

Thanks,
Terry

Please confirm / answer the following:

You are installing CRVS2010 SP3:

http://downloads.businessobjects.com/akdlm/cr4vs2010/CRforVS_13_0_3.exe

You have tried the suggestion in KB  1530061 - Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2010 Installation Error 2753

Ensure you have rebooted and have not started any applications before attempting the install.

Make sure you do not have C:\temp directory on the computer.

Do you have  FLEXnet Connect installed?

Correct...installing CRforVS_13_0_3.exe.

Rebooted and tried again, without starting any apps.
No c:\temp folder on the machine.

Downloaded and ran SoftwareManagerUninstall program from Flexera.

The link to KB 1530061 contains a link to a Flexera utility, but it comes up as a blank page, so I haven't been able to download/run it on the msi.  Do you know of another page I might get it from?

Thanks for your help.

Terry

Sorry.  I was able to open that page from another workstation.  I've got the Transform Utility, so I'll try that next.  Thanks.

The transform utility did the trick.  Thanks.

Hello Terry

Many thanks for letting me know this worked out. This is a rare issue and I really was not sure if the KB would help. Knowing it does help, provides me with a bit of comfort

I am trying to get the Flexera Transform Utility. When I click on the link included in kb 1530061 I am getting a blank page as Terry initially did. I've tried from various workstations with teh same result. Is there another link from which I can get to the Flexera Transform Utility?

Sorry Rob - no problems when I do that.

Maybe you can either contact Flextera, or go to their website  and search for the utility there?
