What are Remote Cubes?

Remote Cubes allow full data analysis via BW, without storing the data physically in BW.

Remote Cubes offer the following benefits:

Further replacement of reporting tools in OLTP systems via BW.

Uniform and modern end-user interface (BEX, Web, OLEDB).

Cross application reporting on OLTP system data.

Real-time access to transaction data in the operative system(s).

Direct access vs. replication.
