Transfering Bookmark Id from Dev to Test

Hi,

I'm trying to test the BW report Bookmark Id in different systems

I ran few reports on portal and save it as bookmark, I have transported these bookmark id's from (RSZWBOOKMARK table) source to target system.

In the target portal I'm adding the bookmark id (length 25 char) to the portal link but report is not running. In the target system when i ran  the report in regular way by giving inputs in varaible screen, report is being populated with data.

Example Portal Link: http://vmzlslbs306.r1-core.r1.xyz.net:8000/sap/bw/BEx?SAP-LANGUAGE=EN&BOOKMARK_ID=0CSN05LTWVIY9OG2KE50MGDCA

Did any one tried to achive this? Any suggestions.

Thanks

Problem Solved,

I have recreated the book mark id  and transported this id from table RSWR_DATA from source to target system. In traget portal Link included Bookmark Id and it worked.

Faizee and others,

Regarding your approach to transporting the Bookmark from Dev to Test, I am interested in using the same technique to transfer Bookmarks from a legacy BW system to a freshly installed BW system.  We will be transporting the supporting BW objects (i.e. queries, infocubes, etc.) as well as transferring the data, however the new SIDs will be generated for the data during data load.  My question/concern is whether any SID values are stored in the Bookmark data itself which would then render the Bookmark semantically invalid.  I would not think SAP would store the SID's here, but given the actual data of the Bookmark is stored in compressed format in table RSWR_DATA, I am not able to verify.  Any thoughts/ideas?

Thanks.

All,

I've since de-compressed the bookmark table entry content and found that the selection and filter values appear to be the master data value rather than the corresponding SID.  If any of you have found or have knowledge otherwise, please let me know.

Thanks again.
