Inventory UoM and Item Cost.

Former Member

Hello Experts,

When entering an item that I buy by the 40lb pack and sell by the ounce.

The item has a purchase UOM of Lb and items per purchase units of 40.

It has a sales UOM of Oz and Items per sales unit of 1.

The item cost is $24.00 for the 40lb package.

When I purchase the item in a purchase order, the purchase cost is $960.00.

And when I sell it, it sell for $24.00 an ounce.

How can I fix this problem?

Thank You in advance.

Jose

Hi Jose

In B1, we can have only one inventory UoM. we can set sales/purchase UoM conversion calculation baesd on single fixed inventory UoM.

So if you set e.g. Ounce as inventory UoM, then your purchase UoM is "40 lb pack" and it's items per unit is 40x16.

Hope this helps.
