How to create a file by raising an event in Process chain.

Hello All,

At the end of a process chain I want to raise an event by ABAP Program that will create a file in a particular directory on the app server, an external application will be looking for this file to trigger it's job, How do I go about creating this? Steps and Sample code will be helpful.

Thanks

    Hi,

    Pl refer to following threads

    http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/a01cc44a-5aac-2d10-3eaa-a3bbf645d25c?QuickLink=index&overridelayout=true

You can also use open hub for eg or write ABAP to generate the file and place it in the directory of AL11..

Once this file generation is complete it should trigger the next job ,this can be handled in ABAP or you can plan the timing of the next job based on experience of file generation time..

    Thanks and regards
