Hello,
I'm working with SAP Portal 7.3 and Classic masthead.
I need to modify some tooltips in masthead. Is there any way to do it without deploying the corresponding .ear file?
I read the following message:
modify tooltip in masthead - http://scn.sap.com/thread/1507393
but it says to modify the .par file (in Portal 7.3 it means the corresponding .ear file).
If I need to modify the corresponding com.sap.portal.navigation.masthead .war file, please, anyone could tell me exactly how to do it in SAP Portal 7.3?
I read a lot of messages about it, a lot...
Masthead Customization in 7.3 - http://scn.sap.com/thread/2125283
Masthead modification in NW 7.30 - http://scn.sap.com/thread/2102390
Error while Masthead changes in NWDS7.3 - http://scn.sap.com/message/11091247
JAR files required for Portal Application - http://scn.sap.com/thread/2131319
Mashead par file migration from 7.0 to 7.3 portal - http://scn.sap.com/thread/3169535
And anyone says something different about how to do it... please, any clear way to do it?
I tried sometimes, but I always got .jsp libraries errors... anyone could tell me exactly the .jar files to add to the project?
Thanks so much!
Miguel Angel.
Hi Miguel,
If you are using NWDS and you need to fix the problem of jar on your masthead.par, then you need to copy the .jar file present at the location /Portal-inf/lib.
1) Download the masthead par file from your server.
2) Upload it on NWDS
3) Navigate to the path on your system, where you have downloaded the par file.
4) Extract the par using winzip.
5) Open the folder Portal-inf/lib and copy the jar file present there
6) Paste this jar at the same location in your nwds and then save and upload.
I am not sure about 7.3 and war files, but can help you with NWDI for the same.
Believe this would help you.
Regards,
Atul
