Replication Error when loading from L1 ODS to L2 ODS

I am getting following error when loading data from L1 ODS to L2 ODS "The DataSource 8Zxxxxx does not have the status of the source system in the Business Information Warehouse". It is complaining about having different time stamps in source and BW system

I have tried following

Activate all relevant URs

Activate the ODS objects in question

Activate all the infosurces (including generated 8z*) and transfer structure

Exceuted program RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL

But still getting error ... please help .. this is urgent.. Thanks

Hi Ashouja,

You mentioned all the steps, but did you also replicate the datasource? This has to be done before the RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL program is executed for activating the transfer rules / structure.

Sorry I forgot to mention my L1 ODS is being fed from a flat file.

Then how do I replicate the datasource.. Thanks

Hi Ashouja,

I was referring to the 8Zxxxxx data source that was mentioned in the error message...go the InfoSource 8ODS1, right click the source system assignemtn and choose replicate datasources.

Hi ,

follow the steps:-

1)In the context menu of 1st ods , select 'Generate Export Data Source'.

2) In the source system tree ,select 'Replicate the datasources' in the context menu of BW System .

3) Now make sure that every thing like trasferstructure and updaterules of ODS2 are in active form.

4) Execute the upload from ODS1 to ODS2
