Hi,
Sorry that I'm posting again in this forum as I was not getting answers in Knowledge Mgt forum. Its kind of urgent.
Previously we have our trex server running fine and search was working fine. Today I found out that document search is not working. Then when i want to see the indexes created under Sys Admin>Sys Config>KM-->Index Admin, then i get a message "index management service is not running". Why am I getting this error.
I have seen the Trex Monitor and everything is green, but Name Server is disabled. Do I have to enable Name Server too.
Any clues or suggestion as why I'm not able to see indexes and getting message "index management service is not running"
Regards,
Maya
Hey Maya,
Please try to go to:
System Administration -> Monitoring -> Knowledge Management -> Component Monitor -> Services -> scheduler.
If you have the error (at the right side):
"No CM system assigned to this task"
That's mean that you have more then one CM node and you need to assign a node to each task.
you can do that in:
first check that its enabled under:
System Administration -> System Configuration -> Knowledge Management -> Content Management -> Global Services -> Index Management Service (You need to be in advanced mode).
Then assigned the CM Node to each task at:
System Administration -> System Configuration -> Knowledge Management -> Content Management -> Global Services -> Scheduler Tasks -> Index Management Task Queue Reader.
That's it, I will glad to answer any future questions

Hi Natti,
thanks for the response. I forgot to mention that we are on EP6SP2HF3 and trex6.0. Then Index management service is not started under System Administration -> Monitoring -> Knowledge Management -> Component Monitor -> Services--> IndexManagement(Startup failed).
Why is it not starting up. I have activated the service in configuration also. Previously everything was working fine, suddenly this has come up.
Thanks,
Maya
