SRM shopping cart service request & service order

Dear experts,

We are on SRM 7.02, in shopping cart screen I can see the options add item as service request & as service order.

When I select either of these options I can see the same popup screen.

Could some one explain me what is the difference between these two?

Hi,

Both are used for external staffing process.

The difference is as below.

In Service Request: The external staffing request is initiated without a price in shopping cart. RFx is triggered from the shopping cart and bidders respond to the RFx. The final bid is awarded and subsequent document is created.

For service order : The external staffing request is initiated with a price and bidder number. RFx is triggered from shopping cart and the bidder send the intent. The bid is awarded and subsequent document is created.
