Create Default Templates issue

Former Member

Hi There,

I have a customer where SAP b1 8.82 has just been installed.

When first logging in the "Create Default Templates" window appears.  I advised them on the path for the Source folder and the destination folder as well as to select "English UK" as the language and to tick both the "create directory" and "prompt before overwriting" boxes.

It seems as if all of the templates were created except one as the following system message appears.

"Failed to copy file 'PURCH_CP.xls"

Can anyone please advise.

Regards

Steve Lowery

Hi Gordon,

I will try to re-run the server installer while I'm on site tomorrow.  I tried the following link in case I need to download Server Installer which was listed in one of the other threads but it does not seem to work.

Click this link

The following error appears

What happened?

What can you do?

  • Check your ObjectID

Do you have authorization by your S-User id? Actually, it is all related to user authorization including your issue for the file creation.

I've never had any issues with my S-User ID before.

Is there any way I can check if it's an authority problem?

That link may not working any more.

You may not need to check that link but check the authorization for the destination folder to be copied to.

Hi Steve,

It is better if you can post the screenshot for the error.

Thanks,
