How to find no of records in a table

Hi,

I am using upload function and reading data from a flatfile to it_record. I wants to find out and display number of records in the it_record. How do I do this.

CALL FUNCTION 'GUI_UPLOAD'

EXPORTING

FILENAME = lv_filename

FILETYPE = 'ASC'

TABLES

DATA_TAB = it_record

    DATA : lv_lines type i.

    DESCRIBE TABLE it_record LINES lv_lines.

    Hi Neelu,

    If your query has been answered then please mark the question as answered.For your info there are two ways to find the number of entries in an internal table.

    Refer to the syntax of DESCRIBE and LINES.

    Hi Neelu

    As It_record is an internal table u can get the number of records in it by using the system variable Sy-Tfill
