Business Area should automatically change in Asset Master

Hi,

If we change the Business Area in Equipment, Organization tab, then it should automatically change in the respective Asset code.

When we create an Equipment master, then Asset master is automatically created, that why it should change itself...

Please guide.

Have you checked that the IMG activity in the asset management area has been completed that when you change certain fields in the asset or equipment the data is transfered.

Menu path is as follows:

Finanical Accounting > Asset Accounting > Master Data > Automatic creation of Equipmnent Master Recorcds > Assign Master Data Fields of Assets and Equipment

HI Anil,

Can you please check if "Indicator: Generate Event for Workflow" is marked in the equipment category for which you are changing the business area.

Path is :

SPRO -> PMCS -> Master Data -> Technical Object -> Equipment -> Equipment catagories -> Maintain equipment catagory

Under Edit Asset Master Record window, showing..

Create equipment  - No Synchronization

Change equipment - No Synchronization

But this is showing in our both Servers... QAS & PRD...

If this is the issue, then why updating the business area in QAS server???

As per given path, there is no check against Indicator: Generate Event for Workflow checkbox...

I am not sure , try to create new asset master and make the changes in equipment master then check. kindly check the same in both the servers
