save exchange rate directly in QAS server

Dear Guru,

I have one thing to do in saving exchange rate t-code S_BCE_680001741 in QAS Server.

If we save exchange rate in PRD Server, saved directly and doesn't show transport request dialog box but it shows in QAS server.

I'd like to save exchange rate in QAS server without saving transport request number like the PRD server.

Please advice me how to achieve this.

Thanks all.

Regards,

Tra

The maintenance object behind this transaction is obviously flagged as "current settings", so you can change entries directly in production. However, in non-productive system the transport settings of the maintenance object apply. Since I assume that this is a SAP standard object and you don't want to modify the standard, you'll have to live with the transport request being asked in QAS (and DEV as well, probably).

You can just keep it open and even add additional users to it that also maintain exchange rates, what is the problem?

Dear Thomas,

Thanks for your reply & sorry for delay response.

My superior wants that kind of saving in QAS when testing. He doesn't need to send request to PRD. Thus he wants to save entries without saving transport request.

As per your reply, I don't need to modify it & just keep it open request, do I ?

Thanks and Regards,

Yes, it is not mandatory to release transport requests. You can do it later e.g. when QAS is being refreshed from PRD, afterwards create a new one for the QAS settings. Even released request need not get imported anywhere, they can be deleted from the import queues.

Send your superior here if there a still doubts.

Dear Thomas,

Yes, I see it's not mandatory to release to PRD and can delete it. They also know that. But they just want to do without saving like that (for example, we can develop testing programs with local objects type to save in local client only). I'm not sure why they want it.

Anyway, Thank you very much Thomas.
