BUSINESS EVENT SELECTION

Hello Experts @ HCM,

I have already created Business Event Group and Business Event Type & trying to book an employee for a event from PV00 (SAP->HR->TEM->Attendance->Book Attendee for Business Event)..

I filled in all the details and when I tried to save it, its asking me to "SELECT A BUSINESS EVENT"... 

Could you plz make me understand where I am going astry???

Hi Tahir,

You need to create a business event (object type E) before you can book a person.

So go the transaction PSV2 and right click on the Business Event type and select Create with or w/o Resources to create the business event.

Hi Tahir,

As per your screen you need to go on with the configuration of what Arpita has mentioned above.

After the events have been created, the next step is to be book attendance for the event.

"Technical Training" is Bus Event Group and "TTechnical TTraining" is Bus Event Type..

Correct me if I am wrong.. I am confused...

Hi Tahir,

Your configuration of creating Business Event Group (Technical training)and Business event type (TTechnical TTraining) are fine. You are missing with the Object type (E) in the Business Event type(as seen in my screen shot above).

Now inorder to create an event you need to have the resources (material, instructor,etc.,) for a particular dates/ period, which in turn should be linked to the business event type (TTechnical TTraining)in relationship tab. So, try the steps mentioned above.

Hi Tahir,

Good that you got it.

1. Now you can book your attendees for the event in PV00 as an administrator. Enter the business event and personnel number (employee who is going to attend the training).

2. You can view the event details in business event catalog in the same screen. Click on book after choosing the right booking priority radial button.

3.  To view the attendee list after bookings goto PV07enter the details and click attendee list, a pop-up screen comes in where click Attendee list in the bottom and again select the event type and ok.

Note:  If you are using the ESS/MSS portal than the you need to configure in LSO and where the employee directly can book himself for the training.

Finally we did it up till booking the resource.

But one more query pops up when I look into the 3rd step "view the attendee list after bookings"..

When I follow step 3.. I get a message @ the bottom of the screen saying "You did not select a valid object"

Now??

plz help...

Hi Tahir,

In PV07, enter the business event type, Period, language and press enter. You can view the event in the business event catalog under. Now select the event in the catalog and press attendee list.

Next screen comes where you can find the business event data at the bottom, click the attendee list below. Again select the event type in the pop-up.

Hi Naveen,

Hope u have created object L, Object D n Object E.. Now follow the step below

Easy Access>>HR>>TEM>>Attendance>>Attendance Menu>>

Open down the pane.. on top left corner of the screen, click on ATTENDANCE>>Book.. fill in all d details n click on SAVE

Ok Tahir,

In your step III change the search criteria for Business event. You are using "Structure Search", try searching in tab "Search Term".

I did it with "search Term" same outputs...and also I have continued the same issue in a new thread with caption "SELECT A VALID OBJECT - BUSINESS EVENT"

Hi Tahir,

From your screenshots, you are always selecting the Business Event Type which is whey you get the error.

When the system prompted to enter the biz event number you have entered biz event TYPE number.

The hierarchy in TEM is as follows:

1.Biz Event Group ( Object type L)

2. Biz Event Type (Object Type D)

3. Biz Event (Object Type E)

You are working on the first 2 objects only and will always get the error.

You have to create the 3rd object type E and book people on it.

Thanks for the info... Query solved.. but before creating object type L, E n D, I had worked on pricing, event date, type of training (class room, online etc).. when & where can I use this data??

Hi Tahir,

You need to switch on Integration between Training and Events Management and other Modules like - Time Mgt /Material Mgt/ Budget Mgt etc to be able to use the data you mentioned.

Explore those options in SPRO.

Check the business event group and business event type start /end dates. Also check the dates for which you are making the booking.

Checked the dates for business event group and business event type.. seems the dates are fine.. and the booking falls within the start and end dates of business event type and business event group..

Something else is going wrong.. Please guide me..
