Rectifying process chain error..

Former Member

Hi Experts,

A process turned to red status because of the following error:

"

Error when assigning SID:  Action VAL_SID_CONVERT, InfoObject ZPACKCODE

Characteristic value "20" of characteristic ZPACKCODE is not ALPHA-converted

Process 000088 returned with errors

"

The error is with respect to the DSO ZCRIO101.

I've checked the PSA but I don't know where the error has occurred in the DSO

Please help me to make the process chain green...

regards,

ajerald

Hi Antony,

Please check the record no 000088 which may be having the error record - try to edit it save the records in PSA and repeat the load and activate the data.

The 3rd column is the data request number -- check for the data record no 000088 and check for the value for ZPACKCODE, If there are any special char like # in your case try to edit the record and reload.

Thanks for ur reply..

In PSA, I could find lakhs of records.  Can you please tell me is there any short cut to find where the error has occured with respect to ZPACKCODE?

there is no short cut to find the erroneous entry in PSA.

You need to find it manually.

Select all the packages and remove the limit no of records (make it blank) -- click ok

it will display the complete entries of the data load.

filter on the ZPACKCODE entries and check or if not found try to check manually by selecting few packets at a time.

All the values in the column PACK_CODE for the data record no 000088 are in 3 digits and there is no special character like #, etc..,would there by any other error occured?

It will not display any erroneous records bcoz all the entries are having status as green.

the only way u can do it select few data packets at a time and search for the entry....Unnecessarily you are wasting time in searching for short cut.

Your case its may be bcoz of the ALPHA conversion routine .

as said earlier ... try to display the entire datapackets data and filter on the ZPACKCODE IO and click F4 ,,, it will display all the entries in the list, find that particular entry 20 and click ok then it will display the data records check and edit the entries for ZPACKCODE = 20 to 020 and save.

Hi,

I've checked the PSA, the Data source, and also the table containing the field Pack code.  But I don't find any record having value 20 in Pack Code. I've set filter to Pack code as 20.  But couldn't find so the same.  But still am getting the error as;

'

Error when assigning SID: Action VAL_SID_CONVERT, InfoObject ZPACKCODE

Characteristic value '20' of characteristic ZPACKCODE is not ALPHA-converted

Process 000097 returned with errors"

Plz give suggestions to solve this case..

with Regards,

ajerald.

Thanks all for your valuable suggestion.  I've done through editing PSA data and then reloading the data.

Hi experts,

Thanks for your kind reply.  I've solved the problem by editing the record by deleting the unwanted data in the PSA.  But I'm now facing a different problem in the same process chain.  I receive the message as:

"Process Data Transfer Process, variant ZDDELTA_ZCRTO101_ZCRTO104 has status Ended with errors (instance DUMMY_NO_REQ_CREATED)"

Can you please tell me what to do for this error message?

Hi Antony,

Please check whether sufficient background processes are available -

also in tcode su53 check for authorization error

as well check for myself source system connection in sm59, and authorisation user BWREMOTE / ALEREMOTE

Can you please say what the error "Process Data Transfer Process, variant ZDDELTA_ZCRTO101_ZCRTO104 has status Ended with errors (instance DUMMY_NO_REQ_CREATED)" means?

I've identified the value "#N/" which is available in the PSA with respect to the data package 000097 and 000098 and there is no such character like "20" in the data package 000088 in the PSA.  So I've deleted these special characteristic and made data pull again.  The process chain worked well.  But turned failed once again with a different error message as I've mentioned.

Plz help me to clear this message...

with thanks & Regards,

ajerald.

Hi,

This might be due to missing INIT or previous load still active.

Have a look at this thread

Hi Antony,

If you want to find the error record as to which data package it is, go to new table of the DSO and sort the error data field. Since the error is due to alpha conversion, (this error happens if the data does not have leading zeroes), you will get the error records on top.

Get the data package number and correct the records.

Hope this helps.

Harish

Dear ajerald,

According from your requirement, that you have got error in DSO.  In PSA level you can able

to find out the records, but you donot know where error occur.  My suggestion below

1) When you creating an infopackage level, you have set as a limit is 50,000 records.

2) in PSA -> Write click Manage-> Select Record status as an Errorneous record -> And do the changes based on your error.

3) Once data load in PSA, triger the infpakage, and monitor.  Before triger infopakage, delete error request id and Psa request first.  After that plz trigger.

Baskaran.

You can filter on records on red data status..

you can do it together or you can combine few data packets and do it..

Thanks and regards

Hi,

1. first you have to delete the data from DSO

2. You can modify the field and record to match leading zero to match the Infoobject length of error..

3. save the data in PSA

4. Load data from PSA to Datatarget..

Thanks and regards

Kiran

Hi,

It seems that the value 20 has been loaded without enough leading zeros, try to edit the entry as 020 as your IO field length is 3. or else for permanent fix of this type of issue ,

goto General TAB of the IO maintenance --there set the ALPHA conversion ...and activate the IO and reload the data to DSO and activate the data.

There is no need to change the data type of the IO.

Hi Anthony,

Can you please try the data load again by providing the Conversion Routine as ALPHA in the GENERAL TAB of the Infoobject Maintainance screen.. Screen shot of the same is as below (for you reference):

Please let me know if it helps.

Thanks and Kind Regards,
Sunil

Can you please explain what does the error means which I've mentioned? In the DSO, for the infoobject ZPACKCODE, it's defined as CHAR 03.  Do I need to change it to NUMC or to some other data type?

The length of the record for ZPACKCODE should be same as the length defined.

As the length is 3 in your case, the value should be 020. Leading zeroes are missing for the record
