Workitem got stuck and need to reprocess

During the flow of the workflow and the wokitems will get stuck in middle and i need to re-process that .I am developing a report and where the input is the workitem and if i enter the workitem got stuck in middle of my workflow and i need to enter that workitem in my report and need to reprocess and is there any SAP transaction is there or any function module is there to reprocess the workitem if it is stuck

Hi

SAP Already provides two transactions  1 SWPR and SWPC...

Check first one is if the work item is in error state then you can make use of this report if the workflow hangs due to some other reasons but not in error state then you can make us of second transaction.
