BPC load from BW - system selection

Hi all;

I'm beginner in BPC, so I had a trouble in loading data.

I have two BW system, one of them for BPC, other is BW for actual data. I want to load data from BW actual to BW for BPC.

I followed this document. But I could not find where they select the system for source cube (BW actual) in this doc, they only select the source BW cube.

Please explain me step by step in your words.

Hi Hasim,

The guide which you referred in the thread is for lmporting Master Data and Hierarchies from BW to BPC. I guess you want to load actual data from a BW InfoCube to BPC is that correct. You can use the BPC delivered Process Chain /CPMB/LOAD_INFOPROV_UI to perform the task.

Hi Raghu,

Thank you for quick response.

I think it does not matter master data or transactional data.

As you mentioned that  /CPMB/LOAD_INFOPROV_UI package for loading data but I could not see connection of other BW system.

In this package we write provider name but we do not say where BPC load from.

I screenshoted the step of run a package. For example let me say, cube name is ZSALES, cube with this name can be in  many BW Systems, my question is; how BPC understand correct system with only provider name.

Hi Hasim,

The link to the BW system is already setup during the installation.

Whenever you load the data from the BW system, it will always refer to the BW system, that has been linked to the BPC system.

Hi Hasim,

Have tired the following steps activate process chain? /CPMB/LOAD_INFOPROV_UI from BI Contenct.

1. Apply the latest Support Package.

2. Enter Tcode RSA1

3. In the left navigation bar, click 'BI content'

4. Select process chain and double click "Select Objects".

5. Select the process chain /CPMB/LOAD_INFOPROV_UI.

6. Click 'Transfer Selections' button.

7. On the right pane, install objects from BI Content.

8. Enter Tcode SE38.

9. Input program name ujs_activate_content and click to run.

10. Only select option 'Update DM Default Instructions'.

11. Execute program.
