Hi,

- From browser have a look at mmc using url http://host.domain.com:5SID13. From this mmc you can do basic diagnosis. See whether configtool is safe mode. If it is in safe mode login into config tool and from file menu disable safe mode.

- Check password maintained in ABAP and config tool is same for SAPJSF.

- As informed by Lata please post logs to look into issue.

Mahesh

Besides the log suggested above, you can check the logs in /j2ee/cluster/server0/log

Seems pretty obvious that its failing to connect to the gateway.

Hi,

Error message states UME service startup failed. Since you mentioned SMICM I assume this is a dual stack system. Please check if J2EE_ADMIN and SAPJSF are not locked and have correct authorizations in the ABAP stack.

@Juan,

SI guess souldn't be remote connectivity issue from gateway perspective since it looks like a dual stack unless of course ABAP stack gateway is down 🙂

hi,

As mentioned by Ruchit, please check J2EE_ADMIN, SAPJSF and J2EE_GUEST users and also maintain correct password for J2EE_ADMIN in secure store of config tool.

and also check the datasource. Since it is dual stack, it should be ABAP.
