change distribution rule in purchase order

Hi All,

user wants the distribution rule for account assignment to be distribution by percentage. but we cannot set it in configuration for account assignment L as it is being used by many others also.

The field is copied directly from configuration into PO while creating PO and is not changeable.

I checked the configuration for layout for PO, and this field is not there in the list.

Pls tell me how to make this field open for changes in PO.

You either have to change the config for acc. assignment L or create new acc. assignment for your specific requirement.

If you do not want to do either of it, I think only option is to look for some exit.

you can either copy to another account assignment category and use it whenever percentage is needed or in the account assignment tab, click on the multiple account assignment button, the screen opens for multiple input. here, even if you have maintained by quantity, it is possible to maintain value in percentage for the very first time. the quantity get split as per the percentage maintained. once you 'enter' the screen area for percentage get greyed out
