Change profit center in material master

Hello All,

I have a requirement where the client wants to change the profit center on some materials.

This is what I have so far. Can you please let me know if I am on the right path/give additional guidance?

First thing we need to look into is the stock for the materials. If it isn't 0, then move them to another cost center(GI), then change the profit center in the mat master. Then do another GR so that the updated profit center will be picked up. Also we might have to change message MM335 to warning. Also on the other hand, we would have to delete the open PO's, reservations, correct?
