SAP BW - HR - Data Security & Protection Best Practices

Hello experts,

I am working in a customized (starting from the standard one) HR Payroll model in SAP BW running on HDB and there are couple questions I would like to do before I proceed:

Client is specially worried about sensitive & confidential data contents and who access them. Is there any suggestions/best practices you can provide me in order to ensure a "robust" security model for backend (GUI, HDB) or frontend (BEx, BObj in a future)?

Any kind of help is pretty welcome and valuated.
