check Instruction

Guys,

when i enter availability check as no check and product allocation as first step. product allocation is working fine without any issues. But if i change availability check as first step and prod allocation as second step, then even product allocation is not working. The products created for testing are new ones without any stock and reciepts. is that cud be the reason? Pls let me know if i am wrong.

Regards

Shruthi,

What does that statement mean?  If you are only saying that you cannot get a confirmation, then that could mean that ATP IS working (not all ATP checks result in a confirmation, by design).

Always start with the ATP proposal screen in the ERP system.  Look at each bit of data that exists there.  The answer is always almost obvious.  The Product check portion of the ATP check should work exactly as you have configured it to work.  If the ATP doesn't pass the product check portion, the Allocation check is irrelevant, the end result is no confirmation.

You have done the Product Check configuration, right?

Hi DB49,

The product allocation configs are done and tested successfully. its meeting my requirement. But That is only the first step is product allocation. If i make the availability check as first step and allocation as second i get a blank screen in the apo availabilty overview screen when i create an order. I think you got it.

Thanks

To isolate the problem, see what happens if you set check instructions to do allocation first and then product check.

Check the ATP Time Series in transaction /SAPAPO/AC05 for the product/ location.

Also, it would help if you put up a screenshot.

rishi,

i did what u said but i get a blank apo availability screen. even prod allocation does not happen if second step in prod check check. I think we need to have some requirements and reciepts, like constrained forecast, recieps. Correct me pls

Shruth,

Include the screen shot, as requested by expert Rishi.

You say you have a blank screen, which indicates a program error.  In the normal ATP screen, there is always at least a 'continue without confirming' button.

It is not necessary to have supply elements to conduct a product check.  It is usually necessary to have them to confirm a product check.

As I mentioned before, check the ATP Time Series in transaction /SAPAPO/AC05 for the product/ location.

If this does not show data, it might be because your 'Update ATP Time Series' is not set in transaction /SAPAPO/MVM for Active Version 000. Please confirm your settings.

Hi rishi,

I check transaction /sapapo/ac05 for product location. It is showing forecast and pld orders. there. But what i feel is categories for check are firmed recipts and constrained forecast. But even if there is nothing to check it should go to prod allocation as a next step but it is a blank screen. even the the check type tab at left hand side bottom disappears if i give no check in check instruction.

Shruths,

But even if there is nothing to check it should go to prod allocation as a next step

????? The business requirements that would drive such a solution would be very odd indeed.  The checks are done one after the other.  In most solutions, a failure to pass any check immediately stops the entire process, and returns a 'failure to confirm' output.  There is little point to checking anything else (such as allocation) since the results will still be a 'failure to confirm'.

I guess if you really want this to happen, you can set the check instructions for Product check to 'NeutProdCheck'.

Good Luck & Best Regards,

Actually i added planned order category in check control and created some planned orders in APO, Now first step product check and second step allocation, everything is working fine, but the moment i delete the planned orders i am back to square one... may be some config setting not to perform ATP without reciepts.. Any idea?

Thanks
