Hi Experts,
I am doing full cycle implementation project from scratch for the first time in SD Module.
Can you please provide me a brief overview or any link which can explain how a business requirement is mapped into Functional spec or how a Functional Spec is prepared (after user requirement analysis has been done) containing required abap tables ,fields.
Thanks
Ritu
The objective / purpose of a functional specification document is act as "Detailed Instruction manual" for the (technical, functional) consultant to create - eventually - the configurations.
Thus there would be section like "Detailed Functional logic" where you would have to give step by step "instructions" of required configuration / development.
e.g. of "Detailed Functional logic"
1. Fetch Billing date (FKDAT) from table VBRK by passing Billing document number (VBELN)
2. If FKDAT is greater than or equal to 05.05.2012, then send an email to abc@xyz.com
3. If FKDAT is less than 05.05.2012, then send an email to pqr@xyz.com
Examine this sample -

Important is to set the scope clearly, in the FS, with the consent of the client.
Then go ahead and clearly and concisely create the Functional logic. Get it approved by the client / reviewer. There after start development / configuration.
Donot change (or let yourself be forced to change) the scope of the FS / object once the FS has been approved.

HI
As per my knowledge this is not the correct place to ask this Question
You better to sit with your senior consultants , so they can give more guidelines
If you stuck with any issue or mapping the scenarios you can post here based on your business requirements

HI
I think it is very difficult to provide details
and also business scenarios (Process) is different from company to company
First try to understand the client requirements ( based on AS - IS Study)
and explain here your entire Requirement then based on that you will get better solutions
I hope you understand
Regards,
Prasanna
