Hello, We're running Sybase ASA 11 and after a restore from backup we're getting an Authentication Violation when trying to use Sybase central.

the error is "Authentication Violation SQLcode=-98 ODBC 3 state=08001"

does anyone know how to work around this? no one remembers setting up database authentication and no signature file was ever created.

You've posted in the ASE (Adaptive Server Enterprise) community.

I'd suggest editing your post and changing the primary tag to 'SAP SQL Anywhere'.

Alternatively, delete this post and submit a new question with the 'SAP SQL Anywhere' tag.

Regardless of which route you take, it probably wouldn't hurt to add an additional tag for 'SQL Anywhere', too.
