Characteristic with 0CALMONTH reference

Hi,

In my BW system there are several characteristics created with the 0DATE reference object. In the queries we want to have the possibility of having these characteristics with two formats:

dd.mm.yyyy

and

dd.mm

Is it possible to do that with hierarchies or variables or should I create new characteristics with 0CALMONTH reference object?

Another question, if I create these new infoobjects with 0CALMONTH reference object, is it possible to use the variables of 0CALMONTH with these new infoobjects and when user execute the query he have to introduce a single date for all time infoobjects of the filter?
