set fields to no mandatory input in transaction IP42

Dear all,

I can't find the place in customizing where to define which fields in the transaction IP42 ( create strategy plan) should be mandatory input when creating a new maintenance plan.

Currently the field "functional location" is mandatory input bu the the user wants this field to become optional input.

Who can help me on this one?

Hi,

Is the 'field required' message appearing when you save the plan? If so, the mandatory check is probably implemented through the user exit IPRM0004. Use transaction SMOD to see if this exit is active.
