Hello experts,
at the moment we are updating a configuration scenario where we communicate with german and swiss customs.
Therefore a lot of objects in ID have to be changed, deleted resp. created. For emergency issues we would like to have
the opportunity to revert all changes if needed. I only know who to revert changes of single objects via their history, by
opening an older version, modify, save and activate it. But is it possible to revert all changes of a change list at once?
And is it possible at all to recover deleted items?
Another question is, if it is possible to automatically revert changes of imported *.tpz-Files imported to ESR. Is this
possible?
Thanks in advance!
Kind regards,
Markus
Hi Markus,
>>> Another question is, if it is possible to automatically revert changes of imported *.tpz-Files imported to ESR. Is this possible?
Well, this is a solution to all your questions, if you asked me. Create one .tpz file with the current object versions, before you start editing. The objects included in this file should be identical to what you already have in production. Then, start developing the new objects and once you're done, include the change lists in a new .tpz file. Import the tpz#2 to production, and in case something fails, simply reimport the tpz#1 to revert all changes.
Hope this helps,
Greg

Hi Markus,

It's possible to recover old versions:
In History you could obtain all the past versions of the object.
Look my example:
Now, I click the second version, if i try to edit it, pay attention to message:
This way must be used in every ESR's object.
And is it possible at all to recover deleted items?
Yes it's possible. You must to create the object again with the same Name & Namespace & SWCV, save and activate. Finally, you go to the history like upon, and you will find the old versions.
Regards.
