Get Category Id for all levels in category schema based on transaction

Hi Experts,

I need help with retrieving category id and description for all levels in CRM 6.0 . I know in CRM 7.0 there is a class and method cl_crm_ml_category_util=>get_parse_al to get all levels and also the cat_id gets populated in et_subject in FM crm_order_read.

In 6.0 however I found this interface IF_CRM_ERMS_CATEGO_CATEGORY and I only get code, code group and description for lower level.

Has anyone worked with this interface before and can provide me with some test code. Alternatively, are there any other way of getting all the other levels?
