Requirement to create a vendor change log scorecard in BI

Hello Experts,

We have a requirement to create a scorecard in BI reflecting the number of changes made to vendor master classified by the type of change made( e.g general master data , Payments information, etc ). The vendor can be changed across all these types multiples times a day but the data load to BI would happen only once a day. The information at large is available out of change log tables in ECC (CDHDR and CDPOS) but on account of expected performance issues, we don’t intend to pull the change log information to BI. 

Is there any other alternate solution that we can look at to fulfill this requirement?

Basically, no. The change logs are the one place that changes are logged. You could limit the extract to hold only changes made to the vendor.
