How to Enable SAP BW Web functionality

Hi All Experts,

I am pretty much new to SAP..I am working on SAP BW . I had problem in how to enable SAP BW Web functionality. Can anyone give more details regarding the follwing step:

Perform the following check (in order!) to

configure the correct fully qualified host

name. Retest after each change with the

above function module.

Note: BW will have to be stopped &

restarted after applying any changes

identified below:

1. Check your DNS entry

2. Check your hosts file

(e.g. /etc/hosts file)

3. Consult SAP note 434918 for more

options (and potentially use the parameter

icm/host_name_full)

4. If you plan to use addition security

hardware/software options like reverse

proxies please consult SAP note 561885

how to make changes for host file....

thank you

Sudha

    Hello,

To execute queries with Query Designer or templates with Web Application Designer you have to install and configure BI Java. Use Note 937697 for this. Follow the manual instructions and then correct all red marks reported by this tool.

    Regards,

    Michael
