Free of cost Material but taxes are to be paid.

Dear Experts,

We have to create a purchase order where the material cost is zero, the freight and taxes are to be paid for that material. So if the material is Rs 0, taxes are say Rs 10 and the freight value is 5 rupees. So we end up pays Rs 15.

How is this possible, the free of cost material check will not enable me to charge taxes. The freight can be taken care off by using the freight condition in the PO but what about taxes

please advice

Thanks

Burzes

    Hi Burzes,

You can not use Free of Charge functionality in this case because, the moment you will select this check box, the conditions tab will dissappear.

You need to maintain some value as the Net Price (say 0.01) and input the freight cost. If you want to add manual tax amount, it is not possible through the tax code which calculates the tax amount based on the tax procedure. You may need to see set up a Tax Condition type (Class=D) to be used in the pricing procedure and make it manual and use it in the PO.

    Regards,

    Martian
