Dear All,

before accessing to the SAP EM Web UI using Internet Explorer 11 the system shows this warning:

"There is a problem with this website’s security certificate.

The security certificate presented by this website was not issued by a trusted certificate authority. Security certificate problems may indicate an attempt to fool you or intercept any data you send to the server. We recommend that you close this webpage and do not continue to this website."

Can you help me to remove this warning?

Best regards,

Pietro

Hi Pietro.

The certificate used for encryption in HTTPS connection to an SAP Application Server is self signed. You can use a proper certificate, with the correct FQDN of the SAP host and signed by a trusted ROOT authority by uploading it to the SAP System via transaction STRUST.

If you don't have access to such a server certificate, you can always trust the self signed certificate, downloaded from the STRUST transaction or directly from IE once you accept the connection. You have to add it to your local Windows Trusted Root Certification Authorities, as in the following screen:

Once you have the certificate installed, the HTTPS URL of EM will not be considered a problem.

Best regards.
