Capturing and Transporting SAP-delivered Datasources

Dear BW Experts:

I am planning to install a datasource through RSA5. When the request prompts, I have to capture it in a transport request.

Do I need to capture ONLY the datasource? Or do I need to capture the extract structure, the extractor, the datasource each separately, and then move it across the landscape?

Please respond and help a fellow out! Thanks!

The system will take care of that.

It will most probably ask for 2 transports when activating the datasource:

one customizing transport and one workbench transport (which contains the extract structure).

So as an answer to your question: you have to transport the datasource and the extract structure (and appends if there are any).

But as I said if you install from Business Content: create a transport for the presented pop-ups and you're fine.
