Mass update of material planning file

Hello Guys,

We have uploaded more that 500 materials in the system, but we found that these materials are not included in planning file (MD20). So the result is we have to manually add each material to the planning file.

Is it possible to update all the materials in planning file at once, something like mass update?

Thanks,

Kunal

    • you call MDAB

then you click create button to create a variant with the values of the selection screen for this planning file creation program. Which is just one field: PLANT

So you enter you plant number and save the variant by giving entering a variant name and description.

Then you select your variant in the overview and either click start immediatly in online mode or you click Schedule to schedule the execution for a certain time.

Did you maintain exactly the same MRP-relevant parameters for both material ID in MM01 transaction. It is of the standard functionality of SAP that once the new material item is created with MRP-relevant type (MRP Type value is different than ND), then the planning file record will be automatically generated
