Hi,
I have activated business function “LOG_MM_SERNO” (Serial number in Purchasing) which is part of EhP 4.
Completed all necessary configurations and when I try to adopt serial number in the Serial number button which is available in delivery schedule tab in the PO, getting below error messages.
BS005 - Process PMSG is not Supported
&
IO201 - Serial Number XX cannot be used here.
Material Serial number is in "ESTO" (In the Warehouse) and noticed process function PMSG (Assign to Order Items) is allowed.
Please let me know your suggestion to overcome this errors.
Thanks & Regards,
Devi
Dear Devi,
You need to trigger the update of the SHARED BUFFER manually: Please execute function module
BSV_BUFFER_REFRESH_GLOBAL (transaction se37, button 'Test', unchanged
parameters) .

Dear Devi,
If you don't have the FM, then you have missing note 1438453 in the system. After this note, then
carry out the recommendation that i replied previously.

Hi, When you (only) activate the business function it brings in two new serialisation procedures,POSL (Serial Numbers in Purchase Orders) and PRSL(Serial Numbers in Purchase Requisition).
Suspect your serial profile in OIS2 does not include these two new procedures.
Check and if not there include it and hopefully your error is sorted out.

Hi
Verify the status of serial number using function Display material serial number.

Hi,
Check in t.code: OIS2,did you have or create serial number profile & have serialization procedure(MMSL) in it. And you assign Serial no. profile to material master in "Plant Data/Stor-2" view in general plant parameter segment.
For number range, check SNRO with which object for number range picking by your system or do setting.
