Duplicate PO for SC with one line item

Hi SAP Gurus,

We are in Classic scenario, EBP 4.0

Users have found two PO's for a SC with one line item. Header and Item data in both the PO's are exactly same and the two PO's have got created at a gap of 3 days. The only difference is in the name of the Person by whose ID PO's got created. Even the Follow on document preview in Shopping cart shows both the PO's.

Sometimes It happens in the scenario when P.O.is created using a S.C.and backend document(P.R./P.O.) is not updated/refelcted on portal due to S.C.data stuck in SRM and mean the time if another user tried creating new  P.O.taking ref with same S.C.then its possible..you can create new P.O.and you may have two P.O.s with same SC.

Please check SC status by running program Clean_reqreq_up to get SC details. Hope this will help you some extent.

It is possible in the classic scenario to create a second PO form a purchase requisition which already has a PO created. When the second PO is created the system gives a waring to enter the quantiy but it's possible. That's probably the reason why the USER id's of the person who created the PO's is different. 2 purchasers probably picked up the same Purchase requisition. You can delete one of the PO's.
