Impact of Address change on existing documents.

Hi ,

We were having issues with our addresses in US as a result there were incorrect tax calculation issues.We have planned to use an address validation application which will validate and correct all address .

Could you please advises what can be the impact if we update all addresses on the existing documents  and if there is any other impact .We currently  use sabrix for  tax calculation.

Any update on customer master, will impact all the existing documents created in the system. For details refer OSS Note 380456 - Customer master data: Address change in documents . If you change the address at the document level, then only the referenced documents will have the updated address. For further details check OSS 1457857 - How the Address Chain works in the SD module.
