Batch input session is set of instruction to system create PI cycle counting automatically on specific time (these all predefined and executed later automatically). This is a Batch and data filled is input and time which to be run is a session.

Cycle counting method requires the certain set materials need to go for physical inventory for a number of times in a year.

So after classifying the material in cycle counting the the material master view is updated with the cycle counting indicator.

When you run the creation of the physical inventory document in batch mode system creates different physical inventory document through batch jobs and keeps them ready to run them at a particular time in an year.

System insures that a material go physical inventory for desired number of times in an year.
