negitive stock with limit quantiy

Hi experts,

i want to allow negitive stock for a material with quantity limitations or value

means system should allow negitive stock upto a particular quantity or value.

is it possible through standard or required any user exit.

pls put some lights on this.

some times physically mateial is ready to shipping but producton conformation is pending due to

  some reason.

1.Here prodcution report is comes from plant to head office according to that prodcuton is conformed.

this is due to lack of SAP users.

2. some times sale is urgent but we are having insufficiant stock.

   but later some hours we got sufficiant stock.to avoid system error it is required

As such this is not possible, if you allow negative stock than you cannot restrict the extent to which negative stock is allowed.

As a work around, if your business agrees you can have a dummy buffer stock. I mean if you wish to allow lets say 100 qty in negative, instead of activating negative stock for such a material you may create a dummy stock of 100 qty and not allow negative stock. so virtually you can issue stock upto      -100 qty.

Here, you will achieve you intend to do, but only problem is that you will always have to remember that you have built certain dummy inventory and hence your inventory will remain inflated for that much qty and value.

Just a thought, think about it.
