costing run and costing sheet/cost component structure

Need advice on following 2 points.

Hope can get reply by point form for easy understanding.

1 May I know ck40n or ck11n is calculating the cost from costing sheet kzs2 or cost component structure oktz.

2 What is the difference of costing sheet and cost component structure? Costing sheet is to calculating ONLY overhead? But I also can see overhead in cost component structure. the overhead for both the same?

OKTZ - Cost component structure will have the list of Cost elements for all your Materials, Activity costs and Overhead costs.

This is the place where system picks up the cost element to cost.

Cost sheet - This is for the purpose of calculating the Overhead cost based upon your material cost.

    Percentage based

    Quantity based

Ex- Overhead cost is 10% on Material cost

So you need to assign what are those material cost elements in Base calculation, need to specify the base in Cost sheet.

Please go through SPRO - Controlling - Product cost controlling - Basic settings

    Hope it helps you
