e-Recruiting: User Login after Separation

Firstly, we are on EhP4 e-Recruiting, 1 instance solution, no internal recruiting (only external). I need our former employees to be able to log into e-Recruiting so that their existing NA object is used.

Job seekers create accounts via our Careers site which uses their e-mail as Alias and creates their US-CP, BP-CP and NA-CP relationships. When they are hired via PA48, they are issued a new CP and BP and their original US and BP are orphaned and their NA is attached to the new CP.

When this takes place the user can no longer log into e-Recruiting because their US with their external email alias is no longer attached to a CP so the system cannot get to the NA info. This is fine while they are an employee, I don't need them to log into e-Recruiting while they are an employee as we do not source internally via e-Rec.

However, when the Employee is terminated (e.g. the end of their internship) in SAP, how can they log back into e-Recruiting? Their US is still orphaned from the original hire in PA48.

Log on info as original external candidate: Log in with external email address (alias for US object)

Log on while employee: No log on to e-Recruiting, however their user id and internal email address are maintained on IT0105.

Log on info after termination????

Do they have to create a new external account? If they do that there is no tie back to their NA object for reporting. How would we know it is the same candidate?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

Have you checked the documentation of note 997181? There you see what is being done in case of a hiring and terminating.

Thanks for taking the time to respond Nicole, I have had this suggestion from several people, but the only mention of Separation from Note 997181 is this:

"Dismissal

In the case of a dismissal, the STAT2 attribute in infotype 0000 is given a value other than 3. The inbound processing sets the indicator IS_INACTIVE in infotype 5102 to TRUE (dismissal not in the future) and updates the user profile. For a dismissal in the future, the system makes a corresponding entry in the indicator table T77RCF_P_STAT (see also the Changes to the Activity Status in the Future section)."

I don't really care about the status of the Candidate, what I need to know is how does this person log into SAP e-Recruiting? They had a US object when they created their account with an alias (their external email address) that they used to log on and apply for jobs.

When they are hired via PA48 that US is orphaned and can no longer be used and the NA is moved to a new CP associated with the P that is created. Their user ID for our internal systems is assigned on IT0105.

Is there a way, now that the person is terminated, for them to log back into SAP e-Recruiting and apply for a new job while using their existing NA object so that they do not need to create a new account and so we know it is the same person. If they try to log back in with their external email (the alias from their original US object) it will fail because the US was orphaned when they were hired.

Hello Robert,

This is a general problem what many customers have. Unfortunately there is no solution to this issue.  One of solution what i can think of is sending the candidates a correspondence asking them to register again during the time of termination. This can be acheived by workflow. I know this will be a huge effort but there is no standard solution for this.
