unable to start SLM(SOLUTION MANAGER)

Hi All,

Checking SLM Database

When gave shutdown for datbase , i got the

below error.

SQL> shutdown

ORA-24324: service handle not initialized

ORA-24323: value not allowed

ORA-01089: immediate shutdown in progress - no operations are permitted

While checking R3trans -d

This is R3trans version 6.14 (release 700 -

03.06.11 - 17:57:00).

unicode enabled version

2EETW169 no connect possible: "DBMS = ORACLE

--- dbs_ora_tnsname = 'SLM'"

R3trans finished (0012).

While giving the command ps -ef|grep ora_, the database services are running properly

kINDLY Provide me your help in starting the application

Sytem details:

SOLARIS 5.9,oracle10.2,sap kernel 700,unicode

    It looks like either your oracle listener isn't running or your tnsnames.ora file does not have a proper definition for the SLM database properties.

    What the current state of your DB?.... Start the listener and the DB and then do an R3trans -d and post the details in trans.log
