When going to create shipment cost document "Leg stage 1129 does not belong to shipment 1129" comes as an error message even when try to add the leg in VI01 manually.
Though Now I am not working on that project but I have an idea of the process.
Actually this is scenerio when there was different vendor for different operational activities against a shipment of our client e.g. Forwarding agent is different and handeling agent(Loading unloading superivisor) is different.In this case at the time of Shipment document creation(VT01N) if handeling agent is different then I create "Load Transfer Point" and give different vendor against that activity.So there were different stages in shipment document.When i was creating VI01 (shipment cost) document , only data against first leg was copied to shipment cost document(VI01) , when I tried adding line item manually at VI01 document level manually using shipment doc number and item category system was giving the above error.
My question was really in regards to whether you were using the product SAP TM (Transportation Management). What it looks like is that you are working solely in ERP without integration to the SAP TM product. If that is the case, you would probably be better off posting in the SD community instead of TM.
