Write MasterData to a Dimension through BADI

Hey all,

I have a requirement where I am suppose to read a dimension and update another dimension.Can anyone please share the code if faced similar situtation.

    Hi Diksha,

    Script logic can't update Dimensions. Recommended way for updating Dimensions is START_... END_ROUTINE BADI.

    I'd assume that you load the 'other Dimension' which you need to update. You can call one of those BADIs when you load that Dimension. There is a How To Guide on that.

    Can be done through script logic..

    say you want to read 2010.JAN dimension member of time and write to 2010.FEB, you can use something like below -

    *XDIM_MEMBERSET TIME=2010.JAN

    (You can include other XDIM statements for other dimensions as well)

    *WHEN TIME

    *IS 2010.JAN

    *REC(EXPRESSION=%VALUE%,TIME=2010.FEB)

    *ENDWHEN
